How the SRC exam works
The theory exam for the Short Range Certificate lasts 30 minutes and draws 24 questions, composed as follows:

NoteThe official examination additionally covers taking down English distress traffic and a practical part at the radio.

How the SRC is marked
Every question is marked with 2, 1 or 0 points: fully known, partly known, not known. That makes 48 points possible.
A points total alone is not enough. Each section carries its own minimum:
- 19 correct in Funk
Miss one of these and the exam is failed, however strong the rest was. Keelwake applies exactly this rule in its exam simulation instead of a simple points threshold.
